🗓️ July 23, 2020 – Amusement parks reopening
Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi announces the reopening of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and CLYMB, starting from July 29th.
As a token of appreciation for their patience, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi will reopen their doors exclusively to annual pass-holders with valid online bookings on Tuesday July 28, 2020.
This comes after implementing comprehensive health and safety procedures in line with the Department of Culture and Tourism guidelines and best practices according to the International Association of Theme Parks and Tourist Attractions (AYAPA).
🗓️ July 22-23, 2020 – Updates on new rules for travellers
According to a joint statement reported by Emirates News Agency, the National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority, NCEMA, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, MOFAIC announce that, effective from August 1st, COVID-19 test will be mandatory for all inbound and transit travellers, including Emiratis, residents and tourists arriving via the country’s airports, irrespective of the countries they are coming from.
Also, all passengers travelling through the country’s airports to the EU countries and the UK, as well as other countries that require PCR test, have to get tested prior to boarding their respective planes.
Children under the age of 12 and those with severe and moderate disabilities will be exempted from the test requirement, which has 96 hours of validity from the date of testing, instead of the previously announced 72.

🗓️ July 22, 2020 – New guidelines for prayers in the mosques and Eid Al-Adha
With regard to the procedures for opening mosques, National Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Authority announces that, effective from 3rd August 2020, the capacity of mosques will increase to 50%, and that worshippers should follow all preventive measures, including the social distancing (2 meters/6 feet).
The extension to ten minutes for the period between the call to prayer and prayers is also announced, except for Maghrib prayer, which will be five minutes.
Eid Al-Adha prayers would be conducted in homes, and takbeers broadcast through visual and audio means. Eid-Al-Adha will be observed on the evening of July 31.
It has been also announced that The Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa have recommended that donations and sacrifices should be to official charitable causes in the country only.

🗓️ July 17, 2020 – Reopening of swimming pools in hotels in Abu Dhabi
Department of Culture and Tourism issues circular detailing precautionary measures that must be taken to reopen swimming pools in hotels in Abu Dhabi, including ensuring that employees are virus-free through testing, and ensuring that swimming pools don’t exceed a maximum capacity of 50%.
Directives include: sun-beds and loungers to be placed 2 meters apart, ensuring physical distancing markings of 2m clearly defined on the ground, loungers to be sanitized after each guest use, and hand sanitizers made available at various locations.
🗓️ July 16, 2020 – Reopening of more public beaches and parks in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport announces the reopening of more public parks and beaches in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain & Al Dhafrah at 40% capacity, in the 2nd stage of reopening and following an extensive sterilization period.
Thermal cameras at entrances will check temperatures and a maximum of four people are allowed per group.
All beachgoers must wear masks, and showers will be closed.
Food and beverage outlets will operate at 30% capacity, with a maximum of 4 people per table and a minimum of 2.5m between tables.
Play areas will be closed and parking will be at 50% capacity.

🗓️ July 14, 2020 – Laser test for travellers to the Abu Dhabi Emirate
NCEMA, Department of Health Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Police announce that travellers to the Emirate of Abu Dhabi can be screened for COVID-19 upon entry by a laser-based DPI technique. A negative result will allow entry to Abu Dhabi, while a positive result will lead to further testing through a PCR test.
Those who undergo a PCR test must return to their residence & avoid contact with others until their results are available. Meanwhile, travellers with a negative result of the usual COVID-19 test will continue to be allowed entry within 48 hours from receiving the result.

Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport and other competent authorities announce that public parks and beaches reopen, operating at 40% capacity, and can be visited without pre-booking. Also, presenting coronavirus test result is not required anymore.
